citkar supports Phoenix donation tour in favour of the Gerald Asamoah Foundation

The Berlin-based cargo bike manufacturer citkar is participating in the Phoenix Spendentour 2021, where all donations will benefit the Gerald Asamoah Foundation for children with heart disease. In August and September, Werner Messing from Rhede in North Rhine-Westphalia will ride a total of 2,500 kilometers throughout Germany on the Loadster cargo bike from citkar. In doing so, he will visit almost all clubs of the 1st German Soccer League as well as five children’s heart clinics.

For many years, Werner Messing, coach and consultant, has been socially committed to good causes. In the year 2021, the passionate cyclist is going on a special tour: On his Phoenix fundraising tour, Messing is collecting money for the Gerald Asamoah Foundation, which helps children with heart disease and their families to lead as carefree a life as possible again after an operation. As a means of transport for the good cause, citkar is providing him with a Loadster Delivery, which will reliably accompany him on the 2,500-kilometer tour.

Werner Messing and citkar are pursuing just one goal: to collect lots of donations to enable children to undergo the expensive heart surgery. The Berlin company and the Rheder cyclist are working completely free of charge, because the Loadster including accessories is donated by citkar, the travel costs are covered privately by Werner Messing and sponsored by patrons. Thus all donations benefit the Gerald Asamoah foundation to 100%.

Werner Messing has been a successful fundraiser for socially relevant projects for years. He expresses his enthusiasm about the cooperation with citkar: “For my biggest project so far, I was looking for a cargo bike that is innovative and modern and at the same time offers a large advertising space. By a happy coincidence I came to citkar, who provide me with the Loadster, a fantastically eye-catching and well thought-out cargo bike. I am very happy about the cooperation and thank citkar now on behalf of all donors for the professional and reliable support.”

Stefan Räth, Managing Director of citkar, emphasizes the charitable aspect of the Phoenix donation tour: “The more children with heart disease we can help, the greater the impact on our society – which is a matter close to our hearts. We are equally thrilled that Werner Messing is using our Loadster cargo bike to promote and publicize climate-neutral mobility.”

The Phoenix Donation Tour 2021

A total of 18 Bundesliga clubs, the German Football Association (DFB) and five children’s heart hospitals will be visited on the Phoenix donation tour. Professional soccer players, club representatives, officials and doctors will sign the Loadster, making it unique. The tour starts in Rhede on August 29 and ends there again on September 25 after covering around 2,500 kilometers. There is a QR code on the Loadster for direct access to the donation platform. Furthermore, donations can be made directly to the Gerald Asamoah Foundation. All donations go 100% to projects of the foundation for the benefit of children with heart disease. In January, the Loadster will be auctioned off at the Gerald Asamoah Foundation’s annual gala, with the proceeds also going to the projects.
